gbics continues to monitor and respond to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) developments with the priority of maintaining the health and welfare of our people while limiting business impacts for our valued clients and partners.
We have implemented specific health precautions including further recently advised travel restrictions and enabled our colleagues to work from home wherever possible or as advised in line with guidance from government and health agencies. We have successfully tested and provided appropriate communications and security facilities for all our teams, over 95% of our employees are able to work flexibly if required, to provide continuity of support for our customers. We have also established management protocols and implemented formal training for remote working to mitigate possible isolation, support closer collaboration and maintain our people’s well-being and focus.
Company-wide communications are regularly shared with information about COVID-19 and how to prevent its spread and we have increased cleaning services and access to hand sanitiser in our facilities.
For our customers, we are doing everything possible to mitigate supply chain and service impacts, including working with our manufacturers, vendors and carriers to monitor and advise of potential issues.
Since the beginning of the year we have been steadily building our UK stock holding of fibre transceivers and are currently in a position to ship all of our products directly from our UK warehouse. Working closely with DHL we are able to offer next-day shipping in the UK. Same-day delivery is also available in the UK for business-critical orders. For Europe and the rest of the world, please contact your account manager for the most up to date information in specific jurisdictions.
We will continue to update our policies and communications in line with recommendations from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and local government and health organisations.
